What is the difference .com, .org, .net, .biz & .info & all the others?

They are as different as last names on a person.
.com - Commercial Website
.net - Network
.org - Organization
.us - United States
.ca - Canada
.tv - Television
.in - India
.ru - Russia
There are MANY more, but you get the idea. So, if you go get a domain name, you can buy most of the domains with most of the domain extensions. This means that if you bought "yourname" as a domain name, you can buy any that are available with "yourname" as the domain and most extensions you want or can afford.
Thus:
yourname.com
yourname.net
yourname.info
yourname.org
Now how you use them is up to you as well. There are no set guidelines that say you have to be an organization to use .org, or anything like that. What many companies will do is buy the three or four most common extensions if they are available, and use them all to point to the same hosting space. Try it on Google. You'll see that the Google.com keeps coming up...
